Modern headlights seem much too bright. Not that they do anything but blind me, as most drivers are looking at their phones instead of the road anyway.

I think now that they’ve mastered the fall off they can make them way brighter.. nevermind when trucks are loaded or when coming over rises etc etc.. I used to be able to tell when idiots hadn’t dipped and flash them - now I don’t bother because most are already down.. Not to mention te rrible HID/LED in halogen scatter..

I find cars are okay most of the time.  It’s TRUCKS with high powered LEDs that are the problem more of the time.

The GLI is the first car I've ever owned with HIDs, and the wife's company RAV4 has then as well. I always thought they were overhyped nonsense. After experiencing them, I'm a changed man. I now think they're overcomplicated and utter trash, and every set of halogens ever are better.

Glare to oncoming drivers and poor visibility in adverse weather due to glare on HID/LED vehicles is obnoxious.

The biggest issue I’ve found with modern lights other than blinding other drivers:

They are terrible in adverse weather. The bluish hue light seems to glare off fog/snow/rain/etc, making them absolutely horrible for anything but a perfectly clear night.
